Good news for passengers !!  It has been decided to run special trains on Konkan Railway route between Mumbai Central / Bandra (T) / Ahmedabad  and Thivim / Madgaon Jn. / Mangaluru Jn. to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganapati festival - 2018 in co-ordination with Western Railway.

Good news for passengers !!  It has been decided  by Ministry of Railways to introduce Train No. 19424 / 19423 Gandhidham – Tirunelveli – Gandhidham “Humsafar” weekly express. Hoh'ble Minister of State for Railways Shri Rajen Gohain will flag off the Train on 05/07/2018 at 10:00 hrs from Gandhidham. The details are as follows :

नवी मुंबई नगर राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति की 27वीं बैठक कोंकण रेल विहार परिसर में दिनांक 20.06.2018 को कोंकण रेलवे के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक, श्री संजय गुप्ता जी की अध्यक्षता में संपन्न हुई। इस बैठक के प्रारंभ में 'समन्वय' राजभाषा पत्रिका के 23वें अंक का विमोचन किया गया तथा नवी मुंबई, नराकास की राजभाषा शील्ड प्राप्त सभी विजेता कार्यालयों तथा विभिन्न प्रतियोगिता के विजेताओं को अध्यक्ष नवी मुंबई, नराकास के कर-कमलों से पुरस्कृत किया गया।

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided  to extend the periodicity of train No. 02198 / 02197 Jabalpur -Coimbatore -Jabalpur Special (Weekly) to clear the extra rush of passengers in co-ordination with West Central Railway . Details are as under :

It has been decided to revise the attachment of one Glass Top (Vista Dome) coach and one 2 Tier AC coach in Train No. 12051 / 12052 Dadar – Madgaon Jn. - Dadar “Jan Shatabdi” Express by Central Railway due to implementation of Monsoon Time  Table – 2018. Details are as under :

A) From 12th June 2018 to 24th September 2018 :

As the monsoon is set to arrive in Konkan region, Konkan Railway has completed all its planned safety works on its route from KOLAD (after Roha station of Central Railway) to THOKUR (before Mangalore station), and is geared up for the monsoon. Special attention has been paid to catch water drain cleaning and inspection of cuttings. As a result of the large scale geo-safety works executed along the railway line in last 10 to 12 years, the incidences of boulder fall and soil slip have significantly reduced, thus ensuring safe running of trains.
