Good news for passengers !! It has been decided by Central Railway to attach additional Coaches in the following trains to clear extra rush of passengers for Mahaparinirvan Din.

 

  1. Two additional Second Seating coaches to Train No. 50108/ 50106 Madgaon-Sawantwadi -Diva Passenger from 05.12.2015 to 06.12.2015 and Train No.50105 / 50107 Diva -Sawantwadi -Madgaon Passenger from 06.12.2015 to 07.12.2015.

Good news for passengers !! Two additional Second Seating coaches will be attached to the following trains on permanent basis. Details are as under :

  1. Temporary augmentation of Two Second Seating Coaches to Train no. 12051 Dadar -Madgoan Janshatabdi Express will be Permanent w.e.f. 01.04.2016.

  1. Temporary augmentation of Two additional Second Seating Coaches to Train no. 12052 Madgoan – Dadar Janshatabdi Express will be permanent w.e.f. 01.04.2016.

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided by Southern Railway to extend temporary augmentation of the following trains :-

1) One additional 3-tier AC coach to Train No. 16334 Thiruvandrum – Veraval Express from 30.11.2015 to 01.02.2016 and  Train No. 16333 Veraval – Thiruvanadrum from 03.12.2015 to 04.02.2016

2) One additional 3-tier AC coach to Train no. 16336 Nagarcoil – Gandhidham Express from 01.12.2015 to 02.02.2016 and Train No. 16335 Gandhidham – Nagarcoil  Express from 04.12.2015 to 05.02.2016.

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run following special train on Konkan Railway route between Gorakhpur and Madgaon to provide extra facility to passengers in co-ordination with North Eastern Railway. The details are as under :-

Konkan Railway is a vital link between Mumbai and Mangalore traversing through a distance of 741 Kms along the Western Ghats covering Four States viz. Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka & Kerala. It’s entire stretch is very unique, picturesque & comprises of difficult terrain which has been conquered by Konkan Railway and therefore it is recognized as an Engineering Marvel. It’s journey has been arduous and challenging during the construction phase and marvellous with the passage of time with many accolades to its credit.

KONKAN RAILWAY ADOPTS REGULAR TIME TABLE AFTER MONSOON

As a precautionary measure, taking into account the heavy rainfall, geographical and soil conditions as well as vulnerable sections on the Konkan Railway Route, Monsoon Time Table was adopted on Konkan Railway from 10th June to 31st October 2015 for safety and security of its esteemed passengers. Intensive footplate inspections as well as track safety inspections were carried out from time to time during the monsoon for smooth train operations.

Konkan Railway has completed its glorious 25 years of dedicated service to the people of Konkan in particular and the Nation in general. To commemorate its Silver Jubilee Celebrations, it proposes to connect Chiplun to Karad by Rail which will enable Port Connectivity to the Hinterland of Maharashtra. This will proove to be a big boost to the Industries to be set up thereby generating employment to the people of the region.
