Good news for passengers !! Konkan Railway will be running special train for Holi festival between Madgaon – Mumbai CST – Madgaon to clear extra rush of passengers. Details are as under:
Train no. 00112/00111 Madgaon – Mumbai CST – Madgaon (Reserved Special)
Train no. 00112 Madgaon – Mumbai CST special will run on 08/03/2015. It will leave from Madgaon at 1600 hrs and reach CSTM at 0615 hrs next day.

KONKAN RLY LEADS THE ‘SWACHH RAIL – SWACHH BHARAT’ CAMPAIGN
Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu, emphasized ‘Swachh Rail – Swachh Bharat’ in his Budget Speech. Konkan Railway has launched a scheme to collect the waste/garbage from Pantry Cars of all trains plying on KR route.
In order to encourage pantry car operators, Konkan Railway is launching an incentive scheme, whereby the Pantry Car Managers will be paid Rs.50 per bag of 20 Kg garbage.

1) One additional 3-tier AC coach to Train no. 22113 LTT-Kochuveli Exp w.e.f 17/3/2015.
2) One additional 3-tier AC coach to Train no. 22114 Kochuveli – LTT Exp w.e.f 19/3/2015.

KONKAN RAILWAY LAWNS ADJUDGED BEST IN NAVI MUMBAI
Renowned for its lush green railway track along Konkan coast, Konkan Railway has replicated the scenic surroundings at its residential colony for its employees too by maintaining lush green lawns of cumulative area of about 5000 sq.metre at these colonies at Navi Mumbai. The Konkan Railway lawns received First prize and Third prize at the 9th Horticulture Exhibition organized by NMMC (Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation) recently, for their splendor and excellent maintenance.

EXTENSION OF JANSHATABDI EXP TO MADGAON
Train no. 12051/12052 Dadar – Karmali – Dadar Janshatabdi Exp on Konkan Railway route will be extended to Madgaon w.e.f 26/5/2015.
Train no. 12051 will leave from Dadar at 0525 hrs and reach Madgaon at 1410 hrs on same day. Train no. 12052 will leave from Madgaon at 1430 hrs and reach Dadar at 2305 hrs same day.
The train will halt at Thane, Panvel, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal and Thivim stations.
