KONKAN RAIL ORGANIZES PARYATAN PARV FROM 5th to 25th OCTOBER 2017

“Paryatan Parv” is a unique initiative of the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with other Central Ministries, State Governments and Stakeholders to boost tourism in the country.  The prime purpose of this initiative was to focus on the benefits of tourism. Cultural diversity of the country has also be put on display during this event. Another prime focus of this travel initiative is to underline the principle of ‘Tourism for All’.

TRAIN SERVICES RESTORED ON KONKAN RAILWAY ROUTE

The train services on Konkan Railway route have been restored at 19:20 hrs. Train No 12224 was successfully passed through the site. The trains, which were regulated at various stations on account of the derailment, will start running one by one in order to avoid bunching of trains.

Passengers may check the status of trains on www.konkanrailway.com before boarding the train.

POSITION OF TRAINS ON KR ROUTE - 2

Front Trolley of Locomotive of Train No. 12224 Ernakulam – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Duranto Express was derailed at Km 360/4 between Sawantwadi Road  & Zarap station at 15:04 hrs in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra.

Trains rescheduled are as under :

Train No. 10112 Madgaon – Mumbai CSMT of dated 26/10/2017 scheduled departure  16:45 hrs is rescheduled to leave Madgaon at 19:15 hrs  (i.e. 02:30 hrs late).

Position of Trains on Konkan Railway route

Front trolley of Locomotive of Train No. 12224 Ernakulam – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Duronto Express was derailed at 15:03 hrs today between Sawantwadi Road and Zarap stations of Ratnagiri region. No casualties or injuries have been reported.

Accident Relief Medical Van (ARMV) and Accident Relief Trains (ARTs) has departed from Ratnagiri and Verna respectively and will reach  site  shortly  for relief and restoration. Konkan Railway officials have also rushed to the site.

Running of Jansadharan Special Trains on Konkan Railway

Good news for passengers !!! It has been decided to run Jansadharan Special Trains between Ratnagiri – Panvel – Ratnagiri to clear extra rush of passengers during Diwali festival.
Train No. 00504 / 00503 Ratnagiri – Panvel – Ratnagiri Jansadharan Special :
Train No. 00504 Ratnagiri – Panvel Jansadharan Special will leave from Ratnagiri at 13:00 Hrs on Sunday (22/10/2017). Train will reach Panvel at 19:50 Hrs on same day.

Konkan Railway is celebrating its 27th foundation day on 15th Oct' 2017

Konkan Railway is a vital link between Mumbai and Mangalore, traversing through picturesque Western Ghats. It covers four States viz. Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka & Kerala. The entire stretch of its 740 KM  comprises of difficult & rugged terrain.
This geographical challenge was successfully tackled using latest technology in engineering field in early 90s. With more than 90 tunnls, about 2000 bridges and 564 deep cuttings , construction of Konkan Railway was an arduous task in 90s and shall be an Engineering marvel for long time to come.
