In continuation to the  Press Release issued on 04/05/2018, Train No. 50101 / 50102 Ratnagiri – Madgaon – Ratnagiri Passenger was cancelled due to Upkeep & Upgradation work of Zuari and Mandovi Bridges in Goa.

Konkan Railway took special efforts and completed the work of one bridge. As a result the services of Train No. 50101 / 50102  Ratnagiri – Madgaon – Ratnagiri Passenger has been restored  w.e.f. 09/05/2018.

Passengers may note the same and avail  the services.

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to extend the periodicity of following Special Trains by one trip each between Mumbai CSMT / Panvel - Karmali to clear extra rush of passengers during Summer holidays in co-ordination with Central Railway. The details are as follows:-

Konkan Railway has planned to carry out upkeep and upgradation work of Zuari and Mandovi bridges between 4th to 29th May 2018. During this period, POT/PTFE bearings of both the bridges will be replaced which will enhance the smooth running of trains on these bridges.

The following trains will be not be operated during the above period:

A. Cancellation of Trains :

1. Train No. 50102 Madgaon-Ratnagiri Passenger  will remain cancelled on 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd  and 25th to 29th May 2018.

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run Additional Special Trains between Mumbai CSMT / Panvel – Karmali   to clear extra rush of passengers during summer holidays in co-ordination with Central Railway. The details are as follows:-

RPF staff of Konkan Railway are not only effectively discharging their duties of protection of railway property but are also instrumental in securing valuable articles and lost belongings of passengers and return them to the rightful owners. This good work done by RPF staff is earning KRCL appreciation from the affected passengers.
 

It has been decided to augment the coaches on temporary basis in  following trains to clear extra rush of passengers during Summer - 2018 in co-ordination with  Central Railway.  Details are as under :

The 127th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was celebrated at Corporate Office and other administrative offices of Konkan Railway today. On the occasion, the Chairman and Managing Director of Konkan Railway, Shri Sanjay Gupta, placed garland on the portrait of Babasaheb and also lit candles in his memory. The function at Corporate Office was also attended by the Director's, all Heads of Departments, officers, staff, and office bearers and members of All India SC/ST Regional Employees Association and OBC Association of Konkan Railway.

Annual Safety Inspection of Konkan Railway route has been carried out by Commissioner of Railway Safety / Central Circle, Shri Aravind Kumar Jain on 12th & 13th April – 2018  alongwith  Chairman & Managing Director Shri Sanjay Gupta, Directors and respective Head of the Departments.
On 12th April he has done inspection of Nathuvadi Tunnel, Bijghar Cutting, Karanjadi Station, Level Crossing Gate, Points & Crossings and Panval Viaduct in ROHA – MADGAON section.
At Ratnagiri, Konkan Railway staff demonstrated various rescue skills which was well appreciated.

The work of commissioning of Double line between Vakav – Madha - Wadsinge stations in Solapur - Daund section of Central Railway will be carried out. Due to which the Trains as detailed below will be diverted through Konkan Railway route ( Via Panvel – Roha – Ratnagiri – Madgaon - Mangalore Junction – Shornur Junction).

Multi Modal Logistics Park at Balli Station near Madgaon in Goa state on Konkan Railway route has been Inaugurated by Sanjay Gupta, CMD Konkan Railway and   P K Agarwal, Director, Container Corporation on 28.03.2018. The park was set up with an investment of Rs 43 Cr. as per the MoU entered between Konkan Railway & Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR). This park will initially deal the domestic traffic.
