Konkan Railway is running 248 trips of special train during Ganesh festival 2017 in coordination with Central and western Railway from Mumbai/Pune/Manmad/ Ahmedabad to Ratnagiri/chiplun/sawanwadi/karmali/madgaon. In addition, during this festive season, there are 49 more regular trains are running on Konkan Route compare to last year. First time special train was run from Manmad to facilitate passengers of North Maharashtra. This year second class unreserved coaches are earmarked in all mixed class trains to cater needs of unreserved passengers.

Ganeshotsav is the most popular festival of Konkan region. Several additional measures are being taken to beef-up security, in order to cater to the heavy rush of passenger in the Ratnagiri region of Konkan Railway and to make the journey of the passengers convenient, comfortable and safe.
 

It has been decided to change the composition of following Ganapati Special Trains.The details are as under:
Train No. 01423 / 01424 Pune – Sawantwadi Road – Pune (Weekly) Special:
Existing Composition : Total 15 LHB Coaches = 3 tier AC – 13 Coaches, SLR – 02 Coaches.
Revised Composition : Total 18 Coaches = 3 tier AC – 16 Coach, SLR – 02 Coaches.

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run special trains on special fare between Panvel to Coimbatore (One direction)  as per the details given below.

Train No.06096 Panvel to Coimbatore Special Train on Special Fare (01 Trip):

Train No. 06096 Panvel - Coimbatore Special train on Special fare will leave from Panvel at 12:10 Hrs on 10th September 2017 (Sunday). Train will reach Coimbatore at 13:45 Hrs on next day.

Good news for passengers!! It has been decided to run additional special trains between Mumbai CSMT – Chiplun, Pune – Sawantwadi Road and   Manmad – Karmali  – Ajni to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati festival - 2017.      The details are as under:
1). Train No. 01101 / 01102 Mumbai CSMT – Chiplun – Mumbai CSMT (Bi-weekly) Special.

It has been decided  by Southern Railway to augment One Composite Coach in Train No. 22653/22654 Thiruvananthapuram Central - Hazrat Nizamuddin - Thiruvananthapuram Central Express on permanent basis. Details are as under:

विगत दिनों चिपलून,खेड़, कोलाड सेक्शन में अनाधिकृत वेंडरर्स की शिकायते मिलने पर महानिरीक्षक/रेलवे सुरक्षा बल/कोंकण रेलवे के निर्देशानुसार सहायक सुरक्षा आयुक्त/रत्नागिरी के पर्यवेक्षण में एक स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स का गठन किया गया।

स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स और मुख्यालय बेलापुर की टीम ने रत्नागिरी से कोलाड सेक्शन के मध्य अनाधिकृत वेंडरर्स के विरुद्ध दिनांक 03.08.2017 से 09.08.2017 तक विशेष अभियान चलाया, जिसके फलस्वरूप उपरोक्त सेक्शन में स्टेशन एवं गाड़ियों से 51अनाधिकृत वेंडरर्स को पकड़कर संबन्धित न्यायालय में पेश किया गया जिसपर माननीय कोर्ट ने 21,300/- रुपये जुर्माना वसूल किया।

It has been decided  to revise the composition of Train No. 01185 / 01186 Dadar - Ratnagiri - Dadar (Weekly) Ganpati Special.The details are as under:

Existing Composition : Total 17 Coaches = 2 tier AC – 01 Coach, 3 tier AC – 01 Coach, Sleeper – 07 Coaches, General – 06 Coaches, SLR – 02 Coaches.

Revised Composition : Total 15 Coaches = 2 tier AC – 01 Coach, Sleeper – 08 Coaches, General – 04 Coaches, SLR – 02 Coaches.

Swaccha Bharat Mission is a Dream Come True National Project of our Hon'ble Prime Minister of India. In order to fulfil this dream, Konkan Railway, under the initiative and  guidance of Hon'ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu, has formulated an Action Plan for Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat.  As a part of these Campaigns,  Swachhta Pakhwada is being organised on the Indian Railways including entire Konkan Railway Route at its Corporate Office at Navi Mumbai, Belapur as well as on the Regions from 16th to 31st August, 2017.
