Konkan Rly TTE saves drugged passengers

Konkan Railway TTE, Shri V K Chendavankar, is being lauded for his good work for saving lives of 3 passengers who were stated to be drugged in Mangala Express train and were found unconscious by him. He got them admitted to local hospital at Chiplun for medical treatment and saved their lives.

DOUBLE DECKER SPECIAL TRAIN  ON KONKAN RAILWAY ROUTE FROM 22nd August

Good news for passengers !!It has been decided to run AC Double DeckerPremium Special train and Shatabdi Premium Special train on Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati Festival in co-ordination with Central Railway.  The details are as under :-

1)   Train no. 02005 / 02006 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Karmali – Lokmanya Tilak (T) AC Double Decker Premium Special (Reserved)

It has been decided to run additional trips for special trains on Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers. The details are as under :

1) Train no. 02001/02002 Mumbai CST – Karmali – Mumbai CST Shatabdi Special (Reserved)

Train no. 02001 will leave Ex CSTM  on 17/08/2014 at 05:00 hrs and reach Karmali at 16:30 hrs on same day. Train no. 02002 will leave Ex-Karmali on 18/08/2014 at 06:00 hrs and reach CSTM at 17:50 hrs on same day.

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run Reserved special trains between Ratnagiri and Lokmanya Tilak (T) on Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati Festival as per the following program.

Train No. 00116  Ratnagiri – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express will run Ex Ratnagiri on (except TUE, FRI) 28/08 (THU), 30/08 (SAT), 31/08 (SUN), 01/09 (MON), 03/09(WED), 04/09 (THU), 06/09 (SAT),  07/09 (SUN), and 08/09 (MON).

As its constant endeavour to provide value added services to its passengers keeping in line with its motto “Sadar Seva”, Konkan Railway has introduced SMS service to redress the grievances of passengers related to any service on Konkan Railway route. The service was commissioned today i.e on 15th August, 2014.

Good news for passengers !! Konkan Railway will be commissioning a new PRS centre (Passenger Reservation System) at Mangaon station on its route today i.e from 15/8/2014. The facility would be available for passengers from 0800 – 1400 hrs.

Mangaon being a Taluka place, with the opening of this PRS centre at Mangaon station, the demand of passengers for having facility of computerized reservation of tickets for various trains through PRS system would be met. With the introduction of this PRS centre, the total number of PRS centres on Konkan Railway will go up to 17.

With effect from today i.e 15th August, passengers on Konkan Railway trains have started getting electronically generated vouchers on purchase of food & snack items in the trains. This will ensure that the food items are charged by the caterer as per the approved rates of Konkan Railway. The system will bring in more transparency.

Good news for passengers !!It has been decided to run Special train between Vasco – Velankanni – Vasco to clear extra rush of passengers during annual Novenas at Velankanni in co-ordination with South Western Railway. The details are as under :-

Train no. 07323 / 07324 Vasco – Velankanni – Vasco Express Special.

Train No. 07323 Vasco – Velankanni Special train will leave from Vasco at 12:00 hrs. on 27.08.2014. The train will reach Velankanni at 12.25 hrs on next day.

Position of Trains on Konkan Railway route on 24-08-14

Train services on Konkan Railway route are likely to be affected for a few hours today due to derailment of 7 wagons of a Goods train at Main line of Karanjadi station on the route at 0630 hrs today. Accident Relief Trains (ART) and Accident Relief Medical Van (ARMV) have left for the site. Konkan Railway officials have also rushed to the site for an early clearance of the line.
