HON’BLE RAILWAY MINISTER ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL PASSENGER AMENITIES AT KANKAVALI RAILWAY STATION
The Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu, announced upgradation of various passenger amenities at Kankavali station on Sunday, 11th January 2015. The upgradations include additional loop line at the station, widening of Platform no.1, provision of new ticket window at the Station, providing Escalator from station concourse to the Platform no.1 etc.

KANKAVALI STATION GETS CCTV CAMERAS
Taking steps towards improving safety on its route, Konkan Railway has installed CCTV Cameras at Kankavali station on its route. The system was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu, on Sunday 11th January, 2015.
Nine CCTV cameras have been installed at Kankavali station for enhancing security at the station. CCTV cameras will be installed shortly at all important stations on Konkan Railway route.

In an effort to make the travel of passengers and tourists more comfortable on Konkan Railway route, the Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu, recently inaugurated Phone Grievance Registration System on Sunday, 11th January, 2015.

The Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu, distributed awards to 10 children of Konkan Railway employees who were declared winners in the Drawing Competition on the topic “Swaach Bharat – A step towards cleanliness “. The awards were given by the Hon’ble Minister at a function organized at Kankavali station on Sunday, 11th January, 2015.

Unique Roll-on Roll-off Service of Konkan Railway set to complete 16 yrs on Republic Day The unique and innovative Roll-on Roll-off service of Konkan Railway, being run by it on its route, will be completing 16 years of its successful operation on 26th January, 2015. The Roll-on Roll-off service has earned Konkan Railway Rs. 53.31 cr in 2014-15 upto December as compared to Rs. 47.4 cr in corresponding period in the previous year. More than forty thousand trucks were carried through Roll-on Roll-off in 2014-15 upto December.
