PRESS STATEMENT

As a repercussion of the derailment of a Goods train at Karanjadi station on 24th August on Konkan Railway route, the train services are presently running late. This is because about 500 mtrs of track was badly damaged and to restore the services, temporary sleepers and rails were laid. Now work is being done round the clock to place new sleepers and rails. This is being done without stopping traffic. Full capacity is likely to be made available in a day.

Inconvenience caused to the public is deeply regretted.

Good news for passengers !! Extra Two Second Class Chair Car Coaches and Two General Coaches will be attached to Train No. 00115/00116 Lokmanya (T) – Ratnagiri – Lokmanya (T) and Train No. 00117/00118 Vasai Road – Ratnagiri – Vasai Road  on Konkan Railway route to cater to the  rush.  The details are as under :-

1) Two Second Class Chair Car Coaches and Two General Coaches will be attached to Train No. 00115/00116 Lokmanya (T) – Ratnagiri – Lokmanya (T)from 26/08/2014 to 09/09/2014

Good news for passengers !!  One additional  3-tier A.CCoach  will be attached to Train No.12432 / 12431Hazrat Nizamuddin – Trivandrum Rajdhani Express to cater to the  rush.  The details are as under :-

1) One additional 3-tier A.CCoach will be attached to Train No. 12432Hazrat Nizamuddin – Trivandrum Rajdhani Expressfrom 27/08/2014 to 12/11/2014
