HON’BLE RAILWAY MINISTER DISTRIBUTED AWARDS ON “SWAACH BHARAT” DRAWINGS TO KRCL EMPLOYEES CHILDREN

The Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu, distributed awards to 10 children of Konkan Railway employees who were declared winners in the Drawing Competition on the topic “Swaach Bharat – A step towards cleanliness “. The awards were given by the Hon’ble Minister at a function organized at Kankavali station on Sunday, 11th January, 2015.

Unique Roll-on Roll-off Service of Konkan Railway set to complete 16 yrs on Republic Day The unique and innovative Roll-on Roll-off service of Konkan Railway, being run by it on its route, will be completing 16 years of its successful operation on 26th January, 2015. The Roll-on Roll-off service has earned Konkan Railway Rs. 53.31 cr in 2014-15 upto December as compared to Rs. 47.4 cr in corresponding period in the previous year. More than forty thousand trucks were carried through Roll-on Roll-off in 2014-15 upto December.

Special trains for Anganewadi Mela

Good news for passengers !! Konkan Railway will be running special trains for Anganewadi Mela between Sawantwadi – Mumbai CST – Sawantwadi to clear extra rush of passengers. The details are as under:

Train no. 00116/00115 Sawantwadi – Mumbai CST – Sawantwadi (Reserved Special)

Train no. 00116 Sawantwadi – Mumbai CST special train and Train no. 00115 Mumbai CST – Sawantwadi special train will run on 06/02/2015 (Friday) & 08/02/2015 (Sunday).

Booking for the following Anganewadi Mela Special trains will be available from 31/01/2015 :

SEAT AVAILABILITY IN DOUBLE DECKER TRAIN

Train No. 02005/ 02006 LTT – Karmali- LTT double decker special trains were announced to clear extra rush of passengers on 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 October & 01, 03, 05, 07, 09, 11 November in down direction and 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31 October & 02, 04, 06, 08, 10, 12 November in up direction. The total seat capacity in single direction is 960. The date wise seat availability as on 17.10.2014 in these trains is as under :-
