TEMPORARY AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS

 
Good news for passengers !! An additional 3-tier AC coach will be attached to the following trains on temporary basis by Northern Railway. Details are as under :

1) One additional 3-tier AC coach to Train No. 12450  Chandigarh – Madgaon from 03.10.2015 to 30.11.2015 and  Train No. 12449 Madgaon – Chandigarh from 06.10.2015 to 02.12.2015.

RUNNING OF  SPECIAL TRAINS  ON KONKAN RAILWAY DURING POOJA/DIWALI FESTIVAL

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run Holiday Special Trains between Ahmedabad – Mangalore Jn. – Ahmedabad (Weekly basis) on Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers during Pooja/ Diwali  Festival in co-ordination with  Western Railway.  The details are as under :-

COMMERCIAL HALT FOR DURANTO TRAINS

Good news for passengers !!  It has been decided  by Minisry of Railways to provide Commercial halts to Duranto Expres Trains passing through Konkan Railway route as per the details given below.

RUNNING OF GANPATI SPECIAL TRAINS  ON KONKAN RAILWAY DURING GANPATI FESTIVAL

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run Special Trains on Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati Festival in co-ordination with Central Railway, Western Railway and Southern Railway.  The details are as under :-

1). Train no. 00118/00117 Ratnagiri – Vasai Road – Ratnagiri Special Train (Reserved Express)

KONKAN RAILWAY UPDATE

 
Today on 1st September 2015, one loaded LPG Tanker met with an accident and as a result, the same caught fire at National Highway No. 66 on Gokarna – Kumta Section at Kms 545 / 6-7 at about 5:45 Hrs. This site is very close to the Konkan Railway Track. Therefore, some of the trains on Konkan Railway Route got affected and  the following trains had to be regulated  as under:

KONKAN RAILWAY UPDATE

Taking into account the various hardships being encountered by the people staying in and around Sawantwadi of Sindhudurg District, a Bhoomipoojan of the Sawantwadi Terminus was performed by Shri Suresh Prabhu, Hon'ble MR in presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra on 27.06.2015 to mitigate their problems. It was announced by the Hon'ble Minister of Railways Shri Suresh Prabhu during the Bhoomipoojan Ceremony that the work of Sawantwadi Terminus will be completed within a year.
