UPDATE ON TRAIN DERAILMENT

As a special gesture to the stranded passengers of Train no. 12133 CSTM-Mangalore Exp, which was partially cancelled at Madgaon station in Down direction, Konkan Railway has arranged for full refund of fare to the passengers rather than partial refund as per extant rules for the untravelled portion of the journey

The passengers of the affected Duronto Express train are being taken to their destination by the special train which left Karwar station for Ernakulam. The special catering arrangements for snacks and meals have been made by this train for the convenience of our esteemed passengers. Officers and staff of Konkan Railway are accompanying this special train to ensure the arrangements.

Four coaches out of ten derailed coaches have been re-railed and the restoration work is going on in full swing for which the officials of Konkan Railway are working at the affected site on a war footing. All out efforts are being made to restore the section at the earliest possible.
