HRI SURESH PRABHU HON'BLE MINISTER FOR RAILWAYS FULFILLS THE DREAM  OF NEW VERAVALI RAILWAY STATION ON KONKAN RAILWAY ROUTE  FOR THE PEOPLE OF KONKAN  ON THE AUSPICIOUS OCCASSION OF HOLI

The people of Lanja Taluka and surrounding villages had a long cherished dream and demand for construction of a New Railway Station at Veravali  due to various hardships being faced by them to undertake rail journey. This proposed Veravali Station is located at Kms. 245.23between existing Railway Stations Adavali and  Vilawade on Konkan Railway Route .

Taking into account the hardships and inconvenience faced by villagers and demand from various Organisations, Shri Suresh Prabhu, Hon'ble Minister for Railways , had performed Bhoomi Poojan for this proposed Railway Station on 16th October, 2015. Accordingly, the work of the proposed Veravali Railway Station has been completed in a record time  at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.02 Crores.  At present, train nos. 50105 / 50106 Sawantwadi-Diva-Sawantwadi  ( Sindhudurg Passengeer )   & 50101 / 50102 Madgaon- Ratnagiri – Madgaon Passenger trains will halt at this Station with effect from 26th March, 2016.

With the completion  of this proposed New Veravali Railway Station , Shri Suresh Prabhu,Hon'ble Minister for Railways will be  inaugurating and dedicating the New Station to the people of Veravali and surrounding villages for their  convenience as a Holi Gift on 25th ofMarch, 2016 , while fulfilling their long cherished  dream.
