REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION IN KONKAN RAILWAY

The 65th Republic Day of our country was celebrated in Konkan Railway at all its stations and railway housing colonies. The Chairman & Managing Director of Konkan Railway, Shri Bhanu Prakash Tayal, hoisted the National Flag at Konkan Rail Vihar at Navi Mumbai and inspected the RPF contingent after the flag hoisting. Thereafter, the employees of Konkan Railway presented a medley of Hindi songs on national fervor. All the officers and staff of the Corporate Office of Konkan Railway attended the official function along with their family members.

In his speech to the employees of Konkan Railway, Shri Tayal reminisced that the Konkan Railway line was opened for through-line train operations on 26th January in 1998 and hence the day holds twin significance for Konkan Railway. While elaborating the achievements of Konkan Railway in various fields in last one year, he urged the employees to work with similar positive attitude and at the same time also spend quality time with their family.
