Konkan Railway celebrated 70th Independence Day at Konkan Rail Vihar, Nerul, Navi Mumbai on 15th August,2016, during which the National Flag was unfurled by Shri Sanjay Gupta, CMD / KRCL. To commemorate the celebrations, various  events were organised for the children of Konkan Railway Employees by Konkan Railway Women's Cultural & Social Service Association ( KRWC&SSA).
